Penguin Prison: off to a flying start!

Ok so traditionally, penguins don't fly... But this one's taught himself.

Already tipped as one on Time Out's Artists of 2010, The Times' One To Watch, and a Clash Mag One to Watch - not to mention a lot of love in blog world, it's looking clear that 2010 is going to be an exciting year for young Penguin Prison (we call him Chris). He's released one single so far (via the ridiculously on-the-ball Neon Gold), with a 2nd single due in March (also on Neon Gold). Don't say we didn't warn you.

Hello World and welcome to 2010! The year that will become known as "The Year of Goulding". Or "Goulding's Year". Or "The Year The Streets Were Paved With Gould(ing)".
We're talking about our very own Ellie Goulding, in case you weren't following.

Anyway. Not content with winning the Brit Critics Choice Award, and being named as "one to watch" in 99.5% of everyone's predictions for the year ahead, Ellie's topped the BBC's poll of 'industry tastemakers' to be named The Sound of 2010. To say we're rather proud of her and manager Jamie is a slight understatement.

Here's to an exceedingly decent year in music.
